From every student, teacher, and member of our Kopila Valley family, we want to extend our deepest, most heartfelt thank you. Over the past few weeks, we have been overwhelmed by the incredible wave of support from our community here in Surkhet, across Nepal, and around the world. Your votes for Kopila Valley School in the T4 Education Community's Choice Award have meant the world to us.

And as we await the long-term outcomes of our collective efforts, we cannot afford to be idle. The Earth doesn't pause, and neither should our commitment to protecting it. The time for action is now, and it continues with each and every one of us.

Being named a Top 10 Finalist for the World's Best School Prize for Environmental Action was a profound honor, and sharing this journey with all of you has been a truly humbling experience. The public voting has now officially closed, and as we wait for the results to be announced in October, we are filled with immense gratitude and hope.

But this moment is about so much more than an award. It’s a celebration of a shared belief: that education rooted in environmental action can create a better future for our children and our planet.

The anticipation is exciting, but the core of our work at Kopila Valley has never been about accolades. It’s about action. It’s about responsibility. It’s about the daily commitment to the values we instill in our students. The end of the voting period is not a pause button for us. Here in Karnali Province, our work continues, fueled by the very principles that earned us this global recognition.

Every day on our campus is a testament to this commitment:

Regardless of the outcome in October, we are already witnessing the "results" that matter most. We see it when a student teaches her family how to compost.
