As we bid farewell to Elsie, our dear teacher trainer, we cannot help but feel a profound sense of loss. Elsie has been an integral part of our school community, and her contributions to our student's learning and development have been immeasurable. Her dedication to teaching and passion for education have left an indelible mark on our school, and we will miss her dearly.
Elsie was an incredibly hardworking and committed teacher. She always went to class with loads of teaching materials, ensuring that her lessons were engaging, interactive, and informative. Her creativity and resourcefulness were evident in the various programs and activities she organized, including LGBTQ awareness programs, gardening classes, and place-based learning activities.
Elsie's efforts to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of their background, was a testament to her values and commitment to social justice.
One of Elsie's most significant achievements was leading grade 3 students in a biogas experiment during the science exhibition. Her innovative approach to science education not only made learning fun but also encouraged students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Elsie's dedication to science education was reflected in her desire to help students understand complex scientific concepts in a way that was accessible and engaging. I remember her caterpillar and bee activity among the countless that she did with the ECV children.
Elsie's contributions extended beyond the classroom, as she also played an active role in the school community. Her willingness to collaborate with the health and wellness team on LGBTQ awareness programs and her commitment to sustainable gardening practices were examples of her leadership and service to our school.
As we say goodbye to Elsie, we want to express our gratitude for her many contributions to our school. Her dedication to teaching and her commitment to social justice have left an enduring legacy.
We wish Elsie all the best in her future endeavors and know that she will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those around her. Elsie, you will be missed!
